I figured this post, of Miss N’s portrait session, would be appropriate this week due to the release of the new Harry Potter movie.  Miss N, a giggly eight year old who loves to read, is a huge fan of both the books and the movies.  So much so that when we were getting ready for her portrait session, she stopped and asked me who she looked like.  When I paused, she quickly replied, “Rita Skeeter, right? I mean, if I had a quill.” I giggled and agreed.  (For anyone who’s not familiar with Harry Potter, she is a reporter in the book who writes some not nice articles about Harry. )  It seemed only fitting that we do Miss N’s pictures with her Harry Potter books and memorabilia.  And we had a wonderful time.  We giggled our way through the entire session and even had Emily, her guinea pig, join in the fun.

She is adorable.  Can’t you hear the giggle in this next picture?  She sure had lots of them.  Quite the gigglebox.

She’s beautiful. And she’s getting so big! Check out the serious face next.  Those serious faces didn’t last long, and she soon erupted into lots of giggles, but they are stunning while they lasted.

Here’s Emily! She is the cutest guinea pig I have ever seen.

That last one is one of my favorites!

Amanda and I tried something a little different in these pictures.  We wanted to try photographing Miss N and her brother and sister (posts coming soon) in their rooms, capturing their personalities, and what is important to them.  We had an amazing time with these sessions, and the kids seemed to have a lot more fun with the portraits, since we photographed them in an environment that was very family to them.  I hope that they cherish these portraits when they get older and are able to look back and catch a glimpse of themselves.

Meet adorable Mr. H! Amanda and I had the pleasure of watching and photographing one of his soccer games and we were amazed at how good of a soccer player he is turning out to be!  After his game, we had a chance to take some soccer portraits of him and they are fantastic.  We loved being able to use the goal as a prop and background in the pictures!  This post has just the portraits that were taken after the game, look for the action shots from the game coming soon!

His smile is adorable, don’t you think? We do!

That last one is one of my favorites! I love the little smirk.  We had such a fun time watching the game, that we can’t wait for next spring when it’s soccer season again! Great job Mr. H!

Whew… I’ve had a day. If things look differently around here, that’s because when I went to write this blog post today, I was prompted to update my blog.  I did, not thinking anything of it, and my layout and posts disappeared! I was able to get the posts back, but the layout was lost, so I spent the better part of the day creating a new one.  Thus, causing the delay in getting Lee and Sarah’s Wedding Part 3 out to you.  But have no fear, it’s here now.

Let’s start with a picture of their rings! Lee’s family have beautiful property, with the pond where they got married and the gorgeous wooded backyard.  I took advantage of the wooded yard and the beautiful setting sun when photographing their rings.

Their cake was great too! Check out the cake topper! They found the perfect topper, it looked like them and everything, however, it was minus a beard! Amanda came to the rescue though and drew a very life like beard on the cake topper.  Now it fit them perfectly!

After they cut the cake, it was time for the traditional bouquet and garter toss.  This picture is an instant favorite! During the time the guys were getting assembled to catch the garter, Lee was kneeling next to Sarah, stroking her leg! Oh my goodness, it was so sweet.

Sarah shared a kiss with her Dad during the father-daughter dance.

The first dance and another favorite!

And then the party really got started! I love the flowing skirts in the next picture!

Everyone danced.  It was so much fun to see a crowded dance floor and it made for some great pictures.  Sarah and Lee chose their own playlists and they had everything thing from Shout to Bluegrass music covered!

Even the littlest attendees were found on the dance floor and they danced the night away too.

And I know you remember these two! It’s Curtis and Jessica! It was great to see them again.

And of course I had to show you a picture of Amanda and Lee!

It was a wonderful wedding! Congrats Lee and Sarah! We couldn’t be happier for you!
